Introducing our Gallery Wall

We are excited to introduce our #GalleryWall featuring artwork by local artists. With a background in art and design, Edel's vision was to create a space where local artists could shine. Our Gallery Wall is all about embracing the vibrant talents of our community and giving them a platform to showcase their incredible work.

Artwork on display will rotate every 5–6 and is available to purchase in the wine bar.

ARTIST BRENDA FLANNERY

First to feature on our Gallery wall is Mayo-based artist Brenda Flannery (@brendaflanneryart). Brenda studied Fine Art at GMIT (ATU Galway City) and is a seascape painter. She creates paintings inspired by the wild and abundant beauty of the rural landscape and miles of sandy beaches along the Wild Atlantic Way. Capturing light and atmosphere is at the core of her work.

The sea is a consistency Brenda seeks out to ground and root herself and has the ability to produce feelings of peace and belonging, a sense of being ‘at home.’ The magical, fleeting essence of light is captured in the work so that we can contemplate the beauty and intensity of these transient moments a little longer before the temporality of the setting subsides and disappears to time.

Brenda is a member of Visual Artists Ireland and has exhibited in solo exhibitions and as part of group exhibitions both nationally and internationally, including the RUA Annual Exhibition in Belfast and the SIM Gallery, in Reykjavik, Iceland.
